Back after 9 months, what new?

i got some free time finally and decided to start playing again. Can someone please answer a few questions so i know what to do.

I have a 72 character on Lord from when i stopped playing 9 months ago and now i see that there is a new realm as well (Icecrown) so i was wondering what is better for me. I want progression in PVE and at least active BGs in EU peak times. What are the rates on icecrown, did anything change on lorde and most importantly where are these realms progression-wise right now?

Lordaeron has limited donation with high prices.
Icecrown has full market with friendly prices.

For PVE chose whatever you want looking on rates and population, for PVP Lordaeron is not a good choice.
