Get the higher item levels back in the point shop

I saw that on 23 october 2016 items from a certain item level got removed. I don't get this. While the server gets older the gap between old players and new players becomes larger. So when you start pvp you barely have low geared enemies. A lot of people got good items from the shop and now people with new characters (like me) don't have any change to get some decent items.

Can't the max item level in the shop get a little higer, like atleast relentless items or something?

If there's an explenation why they removed so many items then sorry I didn't find it, but I would love to hear others opinion about this :)
