1. Is anyone interested in a progression guild?

Hey fellas, I was thinking of making a progression based guild for WOTLK content and possibly older content if anyone was interested. Not sure if there are any around.
This is mainly for the fact I joined the raiding scene in WOTLK during ICC and really just want to experience the older content with a group of cool people.
The way it would is we would start off with Nax and once thats cleared and geared properly we would move to the next until we finally finish off with ICC.
While we will be focused on raiding, I want the guild to be a cool, chill social place to just have some fun.

This is the raid content order
Raid times will be set and discussed soon, 10 mans are a easier goal to hit then 25 mans that's the focus right now unless we can get 25 people for a 25 man. But if we have 10 people then we'll have to make 2 raiding groups.
Main goal is to just have fun and enjoy the content.

This will be the content order
    Naxxramas
    Obsidian Sanctum
    The Eye of Eternity
    Ulduar
    Trial of the Crusader
    Ruby Sanctum
    Icecrown Citadel

So far with me included that's 9 people interested almost enough for a 10 man. We will need to figure out roles.
We have one healer here, I can roll tank but would prefer to roll dps, I am a warrior.

  2. Well what side and what raid times?

  3. Im sorry I did not specify I'm alliance but im willing to roll whatever the majority wants. As for times that's something I would like to discuss once people are joined so we can figure something out that works for everyone.

  4. Well i can play both, ally and horde so just name it, i am in, so u have 1 man on aboard

  5. I'd love that, but it would also depend on the raiding times and days. I get home at around 2 am ST, and might not be able to raid every weekend.

  6. Awesome 2 on board, And while I do want the focus to be raiding and all of us to raid and enjoy. I don't want it to be to strict and hard core as some guilds are, if you can't make it you can't make it. I want to progress for sure but it won't be a hardcore guild I guess is what Im trying to get at. If we could get enough people we could even have a group 1 and 2 so we can include everyone in progression. One group for a certain time and another group for another time that some people who couldn't make the first.

We can try to set up times and if you can't make it just let us know its not like it'll be if you can't do it you're out of the guild. I want progression but laid back nothing to hardcore or down your throat with.

Im going to try to come up with a name and then from there gather more people for this idea.

Edit- Not very original but the guild name is Progression Based. On the alliance side, our main focus will be raiding but all is welcome, pvpers, social, levelers etc..

    Need guild signatures.

  7. I've been playing on molten since like mid 2012 and I've never seen a "progression guild" succeed. And by "succeed" I mean gather enough people for Naxx 10.

One almost did, but they were a bunch of clueless noobs, their guild disbaned after like 2 failed Naxx raids.
Anyway, good luck I guess. You're gonna need it :P

Not enough dedication! Its going to take trial and error to gather people and or learn the ropes but hey that's the fun part.
Just some dedication, persistence and no reason why it can't succeed. Personally Im new to the realm, I've only played on the MoP and Cata realm. And more so new to the early raids as I only did ICC on retail so I have alot of learning to do but Im more then down to learn and put the work in and Im hoping their others willing to do the same.

    But thanks dude :)

  9. goodluck with the guild, though i wouldn't get your hopes up, as fan said progression guilds seem to fail on icecrown.

those are all guilds/people that have tried this before, not 1 of those threads is still active, which doesn't bode well for the idea.

Why have they failed? I have a feeling most of them fail because it doesn't go well the first few times and they give up and disband.
But hey thats just my assumption. Plus I don't mind the challenge of trying to have the first succesfull progression based guild. In general the guild will be just a awesome place to talk and socialize while playing while also having a core of people wanting to do wotlk raids.

  11. Me and two other friends would be super interested... Especially me since i am missing a lot of achievements from older tier raids mainly between Naxx and Togc. But i would like to ask a lot of question first because our time schedule is a bit ...weird.
    1. When is the raid time? We are mostly available on or around 14-18 St
    2. Focusing on which raid content? We were pugging Glory runs these past few weeks and it kinda gets tiring when people kept standing on FIRE!
    3. Should it be a 10 or 25 man raid group ( i know you just started planning about it but i wanted to know your which raid group you're focused on)
Let me know about your though and ideas and also Good Luck!

  12. @prox
It's nice to see that you have hope and that you're dedicated to make it work. So I wish you all the luck with the guild. :-)

  13. The problem, I think, is that very few people are actually interested in raiding old content. Plus most players on this realm are terribad. I mean "wipe on gunship" kind of bad.

  14. I'm definitely down for a fresh progression guild. 31 Priest, should be 80 today or tomorrow. I can dps or heal, whichever is needed.

  15. Hey there😀
Me and 2 friends are coming back to warmane after 2years break and we would like to join in. Did you play on ally or horde we are starting from lvl1 later today
