WotLK Trying to prioritize stats

Rogue dps issue.

So once upon a molten wow I had a fully feared fury warrior.
I loved playing as him. But the crash happened. Next thing you know I get 380
Coins in my account and warmane was born.

So I thought why not take the opportunity and try something else.
So I got a rogue. I'm not sure what's going on but I do about 3.4k dps
In heroics like FOS / POS

Please give me some insight. Because I'm slightly regretting my decision on
Why I swapped my warrior for this class. Also. Should I go assassin or combat ?

Gems, talents, gear.... you need to read a guide or two on how to rogue.

Combat is king in my opinion but assassination is also viable in PvE. Both specs have their own unique feel combat relies on physical damage and uses swords, maces, fist weapons and axes while assassination is can only uses daggers and relies on doing damage through poisons.
