I really don't understand the logic of these gms. They do server wide announcements in general chat? what's that reach? maybe 5% of player base? It would be really appreciated over 24 hours after launch if the GMs could make an official announcement, ****s sake.
Not just that, there is a magic word that's called "PTR" :) But ok, they handled **** at the end, could be much worse..
We are aware and we can offer only our sincere apologies. Without going into too much details, this was an unexpected event that occurred. We worked around the clock (and still are) to fix all of it.
We did not make any official announcement specifically targeting the issue since the issue was evolving over time and it was hard to say any estimated time for it to be resolved or where exactly where we were in the process.
For example, we would maybe make a 'fixed' post when it indeed was not. We are still closely monitoring to see what's going on further.
Thank you for your patience.
Anecdotally, I was perfectly fine with the interruption in service. **** happens. The majority of the folk I instanced with last night held an opinion ranging from either "oh the server was down, I didn't even know" to "Yeah, bummer that it was down so long, but I just played some [insert other game] for a while instead".
Most folk knew well ahead of time that the Season update would be occurring. Stinks that it was on a weekend, and that a monkey wrench got thrown in, since many folk have the most free time on the weekend, but that's life.
So long as things are set straight and implemented as-desired in the end, keep up the solid work, fellows!
