Following up on mentioned scenario.
Most of these are kids with no job and no possibilities to earn any money, and when I say "any", I mean NONE at all. Everything you can get is from your parents. So, how are you going to explain to your mom and dad that you need 10 Euros for a game? They would throw you out of a window. Because you need new sneakers, new TV, new everything, and you ask for a game? Might as well be thrown out along with the window, which is probably for a replacement, too. You don't have for all the bills and food, and you want money for a game, think about that.
How do you buy a computer, anything at all in this scenario? Go on loans at banks, friends, neighbors, who are not on loans in that particular moment. Otherwise, they cannot possibly help you. And when you have finally paid one of your loans, you can replace a device that is broken.
300 € is a bare minimum to exist in a city, and as I said, skip your favorite food and soda for a week for a one time payment.
The education part, are you really serious about it? You want to play a game for crying out loud, NOT work hard for days and months to enter a game! If you quit Wow to earn money to play it, after all that time you did not play, you wouldn't even want to get back to it!
During High school, your money is what you get from your parents and grandparents, relatives that is, and they do not have for "imaginary" stuff, such as games. Emigrate? Ha, that's a good one! I am sure you're gonna be able to emigrate to play a game, that's a really good reason every country would agree with and welcome your poor ***, as if they had no reasons to try and emigrate long ago. That option is also greyed out.
That is a default scenario in poor countries, much further away from your happy bubble, as it turned out.
