In what world 60 haste for 6 seconds by using ability with 8 seconds CD is better than constant boost of 120 AP? Like, AP is way better at such gear levels, it is not ICC gear with hundreds of it.
Same goes for weapons. Off-hand is a stat stick for shaman and source of maelstrom stacks, not to mention agility and hit from this weapon (and no, it is not DK/Warr/Retry/rogue to be so concerned on weapon speed for AP scaling.

False. Usually the lower the content is the better haste becomes as a stat for various specs but that's on a side note. What's more important is that haste is really good stat for enhancer. Also, you can often skip on using Lava Lash in your rotation when there are better spells to use so you won't always have 100% uptime of http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=42607. You can sim it yourself if you don't believe me - http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=40322 wins by around 20 DPS on average (not much but still).

When it comes to OH I just played with EnhSim a bit more and I must have made mistake somewhere cause http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=40189 actually wins.

I also seem to be getting better results with http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=40275.
