WotLK question about the addon to use

hi I am an affliction warlock and recently I download the addon for dps that i think is called skada. for no reason it stops working maybe you could help me.
I also need help to know which addon/macros I need to use as an affliction warlock because my dps is not satisfactory so I start thinking that I am making some mistakes

To 'fix' skada:
Use macro the macro to clear combatlog

/run local f = CreateFrame("frame",nil, UIParent); f:SetScript("OnUpdate", CombatLogClearEntries);

or get Combat Log Fixer addon.

And if I recall correctly, Affliction is more gear dependent, so expect slow progression on DPS meter.

Affliction is NOT gear dependent to pull off dps. You do need to optimise your gear, as always, but any1 telling you to finish game 3 times, kill lich king 200 times to start playing affi is a dumbo. Enjoy affi all you want-amazing spec!

Most of DPS comes from:
1.gear optimisation (sp/haste good, crit bad) To optimise your gear, check afflick guides to know what stats you look for. Do you need more hit rating? Do you have nevermelting ice crystaal trinket already?
2.Playstyle. To optimise your playstyle, try getting WA. Weakauras, DBM(for raiding) and OMEN (threat) are the most important addons. With proper weakaauras, your UI could look like this : http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=432900 (just an example)
Having necessary information is a key to succes in DPSing, as the actual button pressing won't gain you much.

isnt Affliction heavy dependent on your haste rating tho? Others say Destro is best for undergeared people.

Or go demonology for lower spec. I think this works as well.
