    What is the gear requirement for rdf hc?

    Hi!

    As the title suggests, I'm curious to know the current minimum ilvl requirement for rdf hc. Before I begin, I would like to clarify something. In the past, the number was undoubtetly 191. I remember having to fill a lot of slots with 200 ilvl items, in some cases I even depended on Frost Resistance gear (ilvl 213), in order to boost my average gear level and meet the criteria. However, a few minutes ago I managed to queue rdf hc with 183.

    Other people would have included the armoury here, but I preferred to take a screenshot of my gear, because I will change some items sooner or later. The ilvl of the equipped gear pieces are the following:
    head - 187
    neck - 200
    shoulders - 179
    cloak - 187
    chest - 187
    wrist - 200
    hands - 200
    waist - 187
    pants - 200
    feet - 200
    ring 1 - 200
    ring 2 - 174
    trinket 1 - 174
    trinket 2 - 174
    idol - 93
    weapon - 200

    As you can see, some items are trash tier (*cough* the idol *cough*), yet the system doesn't have a problem with them.

    Note: Many people know this already, but I'm posting the following macro for the newer players. This calculates the average ilvl score of your current gear.

    /run local t,c,u,k=0,0,UnitExists("target")and"target"or"play er"for i=1,18 do k=GetInventoryItemLink(u,i)if i~=4 and k then t=t+select(4,GetItemInfo(k))c=c+1 end end c=c>0 and print(t/c)

    ^ "play er" is actually "player" Dunno why it appears with a gap.

    Just a small update. It appears that the minimum ilvl requirements are 180+. I tried queuing rdf hc with 179, and it didn't work.

    PROOF
    180 ilvl

    Note: Yes, I could have tested that ealier and not necro-ed this thread. One month ago, I was too lazy to research the bottom limits.

    Good to know, looks like it's fixed then?

    Yup, it seems so.

    Here I'd like to stress on the importance of obtaining the 150 ilvl relic from the Venture Coins vendor. That item can be the line between queuing and not queuing rdf hc. Since I didn't have it on my druid (see the first post), I had to buy more things from the ah, in order to compensate the low level of my idol.

    Here's how you can obtain the 150 ilvl relic the quickest way possible:
    - go to Venture Bay (i.e. the southwestern part of Grizzly Hills);
    - you need to complete 3 daily quests, in order to acquire 30 Venture coins;
    - once you do them, speak to "Grizzly" D. Adams (if you are an Alliance player) or Purkom (if you are a Horde one). Coordinates are [13.9, 86.4]. If you don't have Carbonite, you head south towards the small peninsula and /tar "Grizzly" or /tar Pur.

  5. Alternatively, you can get a 138 idol from a quick quest in Bor'gorok outpost that will be BiS for bears until Ulduar (unless you farm the one from BT)
