Technical Logging in but instant disconnect from server?

Hello, can anyone tell me why this is happening? I open up the game and logging in but as soon as it says "Authenticating", the game says that "You've been disconnected from the server." I recently downloaded WotLK (a few hours ago!) and this has been happening whenever I try logging in. Any enlightenment is welcome! ( ´ ▽ ` )
