1. Lordaeron - fresh 80 looking for optimal Blood DK talents

    Hi guys,

I hope you are all well.

I have just dinged 80, and would love people's thoughts on a good build for starting off with tanking. I'm aware that there exist quite a few variants, but I suppose my priority would be avoidance for now.

I'm inclined to try either of the following out: https://wotlkdb.com/?talent#j0EMqIhc...xcMhZ0L:pimM0V or https://armory.warmane.com/character...daeron/talents.

Also, what gear should I be aiming for asap? TOC5 trinket, I guess?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

  2. https://armory.warmane.com/character...daeron/talents This one is better. If you're not def capped, make sure to reach it asap. Beyond that, ToC5 trinket would be a good start, yeah.

Might wanna read this aswell if you're new to tanking as a DK: http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=349830 Gnimo's guide are good. Plenty of builds in there aswell if you wanna give more of them a spin.

  3. Thanks a lot! Is the loss of HS a huge deal, though? Kinda like the cleave aspect.

  4. Is the loss of HS a huge deal, though?
Not rly. I don't use HS either since you'll be tab+IT spamming for threat rather than relying on HS on AoE-ish fights.

  5. If you are still doing dungeons, I would put points in bloody strikes and perhaps some on black ice in where you take away points from Two-Handed Weapon Specialization and maybe Bloody Vengeance/Mark of Blood and Icy Reach. A fresh level 80 bdk is rather weak on AOE-aggro and these changes from the spec Thorbjorn posted can compensate for that.

Lichborne is also a useful talent as it can be used to free yourself from fear effects.

Note that the things I mentioned are optional talents which can help you as most people just want to steamroll random heroics anyway.
