1. 5kgs bro. not BiS. 17k crit Deathstrike in rdf hc. wasn't even on hysteria

  2. You seem like a guy that never tryed anything else, must be fun...
Them crits are all nice and dandy, IF they happen tho. :)

  3. I've played DK dps for a literal decade off and on.

Blood is OK dps at best-in-slot with a perfect raid composition. They look better on a super-short fight because they're all-burst with moderate sustained dps -the whole raid being BiS dps and everyone doing 16k+ dps will end with blood doing 19-20k dps as ally, 21k on the top-end as horde on a slap-fight boss like DBS 25 HC. In a normal run where most raid dps is mediocre and fights take longer a Blood dk dps will be struggling to break 17.5k dps in the same situation -especially if there are no warrior using sunder-armor on the boss.

Blood dk brings zero utility to a raid and essentially functions as a lower-single-target-dps Fury Warrior with more personal sustain but dramatically worse AOE and no movement skills to help on multi-target-fight repositioning. They are not "bad" dps, they are just hard to justify bringing because other classes do their exact job better.

Frost dps is easier to gear and can outdps BiS blood with DBS 25HC weapons. Blood is garbage without Shadowmourne and near-BiS.
Unholy DPS is very forgiving and is superior to Blood DPS in BiS-gear for single-target while also BiS, if only slightly. But Unholy is superior to blood every step of the way without a Shadowmourne, and do very well with just Glorenzelg.

A blood dps with a Glorenzeg is going to lose against most of the classes in the game on a dps meter. Even an Elemental Shaman can dance circles around such a thing.

Blood is a novelty spec. It's something different to play for someone who's played for too long, like me. It's not "useless" or "bad", but it takes the spot of something that is superior to it and brings nothing in return. It requires massive investment to even be viable (no SM? Don't even bother) and both Unholy and Frost are superior dps to it overall anyway.

This is a game and it's meant to be played for fun so do whatever you feel like, sure. But don't do it thinking it's the best way to play your class or thinking you'll get as many invites to raids as a selfish spec.

    Cheers.

  4. .. Blood dk brings zero utility to a raid , ..
Blood DK brings the same as MM hunter : 10% AP ;)

end of story. move on people nothing to see here

  5. Blood DK without a Shadowmourne still does less damage than a MM hunter, does not have Misdirection and Tranquilizing Shot and is a melee which is another downside on some fights (I am still mind blown how could u come up with that after such an objective comment from Erronius).
Blood DK without a Shadowmourne still does less damage than a Enha shaman, does not have bunch of other utility totems and instant healing spells in time of need, and does not have Heroism (in case you wanted to jump on this dumb train also).

If we are talking about "BIS" MM hunter, Enha shaman and Blood DK that DOES NOT have a Shadowmourne, any sane leader would prio MM hunter and Enha shaman.

I will just try to repost what Erronius said, in case you missed that:
