1. ToGC10 Lord Jaraxxus Scaling - Is it supposed to be this hard?

    Hey,

Has anyone yet killed ToGC10 Lord Jaraxxus? It feels a bit overtuned. Boss had a bit over 4mill HP on the launch day on 10HC, but now has 10m+. As comparison, here are retail HP amounts vs Frostmourne HP amounts:

    Boss HP Retail: 5.3m
    Boss HP Warmane: 10m+

    Nether Portal HP retail: 169k
    Nether portal hp warmane: 500k+

    Mistress HP retail: 230k
    Mistress HP warmane: 1mill+

    Volcano HP retail: 169k
    Volcano HP warmane: 500k+

    Infernal HP retai: 94k tms
    Infernal HP warmane: 250k+

If someone has suggestions about the tactic to kill the boss please don't hesitate to help us figure out it. It just feels like adds over run us totally. Currently we can kill Nether Portal almost fast enough to get only one Mistress, but that's with everyone popping all cd's on the first nether portal. Is it possible, that some of the adds have 25man mode HP pools currently or should we just have everyone pumping 12k+ dps here?

  2. Yes, that scaling is by design. Jaraxxus is the most difficult boss in 10 man.

You're correct that you have to pop all CDs for the first nether portal if you don't want to get more than one mistress. For portals where you are not popping personal CDs, then you can consider heroism/bloodlust to help you push it in time. If your group is actually putting out 8-9k DPS single target, then it should only take you around 20 seconds to burn the add. That leaves 1 minute and 40 seconds to burn the boss before the next portal.

This fight is meant to be a marathon. In 25 man, our guild regularly killed portals before a 2nd mistress and the fight still lasted 7:24. It requires a strong team, disciplined swapping to nether portals, and proper management of group CDs, but it is definitely doable.

  3. Hello!

Thank you for the answer. So in order to kill 10HC boss we should be able to do 8-9k single dps without any CD's on (because we popped them on portal + with 10man comp lacking a lot of raid buffs). Also we have to kill volcano and the infernals between the portals or do you recommend to some how ignore the infernals?

I just don't see pretty much any chance to kill this boss on 10hc and current 25man HC scaling is much more friendlier, so is it truly so that the hardest boss ingame is 10HC Lord Jaraxxus or whats going on?

EDIT: I went thru the scaling from retail -> warmane and 10HC is much more harder than what it was in retail than what is the scale on 25man. But regardless; 10man HC Jaraxxus is doable, just requires an INSANE cleave comp and really blaster players. Also we will adjust our tactic a bit, should be easier on next raid.

  4. Time cds hero trinkets for all of the portals, CC all the mistrtresses u can leave 1 for cleaving, cleave the rest and thats it.

  5. What you said is true, but I would say anub's difficulty is even higher. Boss's HP is also 10m+ with all the complications of anub.

  6. Man, who would have thought that Heroic mode 10 man content actually would require specific compositions of talent specialisations ! It's almost like the whole idea of the realm is to have a progressive version of this twelve year old game with buffed content as to not bore the hell out of people who have been here and back again. How could anyone think they can just walk in there with any old combination of classes and faceroll it on HARD MODE ! XD Icecrown is the right place for that mentality

  7. "How could anyone think they can just walk in there with any old combination of classes and faceroll it on HARD MODE", do you mean for an example ZA10HC? So yeh, how could anyone think.. wait.. maybe it is because it's happening all the time on warmane.

I think the problem here is that ZA10HC is doable with 4k gs group with any classes and specs, but then ToGC10 requires specific classes with ability to push 8k-10k single target dps without CD's and these two drop the exact same loot. It's good thing that there is challenging content for sure, but comparing 10 and 25man tuning 25man seemed quite bit easier on paper (number tuning especially). But as someone with experience pointed out; the 10man retail version of the raid was much easier than 25man and this is perfect explanation for the tuning changes between 10 and 25 on frostmourne.

But xxhummusgodx, thank you for your reply, it was truly helpful and quite expected that at least one kid comes in with that kind of comment.
