WotLK Cant log in the game

hello,

I haven't played for a while and wanted to check this client again for wrath. But when I log into the game its saying downloading a patch, and then about contacting support. Now I did some research and most forums claim to not use your email just the user name.. which I done and now it says wrong info.
its the same login we use for this site, right ?

You have to have the realmslist.wtf set to the warmane servers. If you logged in like that it adjusted to the blizzard servers and my not even be the right client version anymore or set to connect to warmane servers. I suggest redownloading the client from warmane site and logging in correctly this time around with your username and pass.

are you using a WOTLK client downloaded from here? https://www.warmane.com/download

Then follow these steps:
1) Restart your PC
2) close your Torrent client and move your WoW folder away from your Torrent's download destination
3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only"
4) log by using Warmane Account Name; not email address.
