Reset of Frostmourne realm first race | Eye of Eternity + Naxxrammas
Greetings Frostmourne community,
As with any launch, our staff is closely monitoring the situation around the realm first race and the first raid experiences that are offered on the realm. This time, sadly we have detected multiple factors that have made the entire race come into question. Several player groups have wanted to influence the race in malicious ways and have partly failed in this, few of them were punished severely as well, however the race itself was tarnished.
We do not believe that the current holders of the realm first titles in our raid instances have obtained it in a fair race with other players, regardless if they were the cause of the problems for others or not.
As we are unable to fully investigate the situation and it is impossible to deduct who is the winner in a race that fell apart prior to the finishing line, for the sake of fairness and legitimacy of the realm first titles, we will be resetting Realm First titles on May 11, 2022 at 16:00 server time.
Additionally, we will be closing the instances in question for this day from the weekly reset time until the unlock later that day. At that point, guilds & groups can attempt to obtain Realm First in a fair and legitimate way with staff supervision as an additional factor of safety.
This will only include Realm First titles related to the current tier of raids, affecting only Eye of Eternity and Naxxrammas.
so does this mean the guild/guilds that openly DDOSed the other guilds compeating will be punished in anyway or will they be able to play and repeat the same prossess on may 11th?
Please make sure the race is an actual race and not just another instance of people abusing some loopholes. Don't forget about ID extension from last week (people prepping IDs all the way to KT etc). Even if you plan to remove EoE keys it would not be a bad idea to separate Naxx and EoE opening, 2 hours would be enough for everyone to be able to participate in both races and it can be much more intense and competetive if the players are not split and forced to decide which one they gonna race for. Thanks for caring and doing this in first place tho. Looks like cheaters did die in the end.
This is a really good point. If someone cheats in a competition, shouldn't they be, like, banned for a while? At the very least for the race's duration itself?
Why are players from guild who was in crime doesnt get restriction to participate in new race?
Not all players in those guilds are scumbags. It's unfortunate that their names got associated with this cheating scandal. I would like to see the exploiters punished and the rest of the players being able to compete because they are extremely good at this game and it would be great to see a race between the best.
EoE and Naxx 25-man will be closed starting the weekly reset. Existing saves will be deleted and unable to be extended.
The required quests/items to enter EoE will be reset.
After realm first achievements have been obtained, we will restore the quest status and items for everyone.
Not that it matters to me but earlier today right after a server restart, 2 people got realm first Naxx25 and EOE25 while they were both inside dalaran arena. Was this a glitch or a hack?
