    Heirloom emblem

    Hi!

I am not sure how much of this idea counts as custom content, which the rules ask to avoid.

Gearing up an alt is never easy. Players start in low gear, and normal gaming rules are forcing them to do like 100 heroic dungeons with that low geared alt before it can get into the raiding environment. If people could grind out emblems with their main character, that could make heroic dungeons a smooth gaming experience. Also, I think, it could solve the "never enough tank" problem in the realm.

The above idea takes a new vendor item, that costs 1 emblem each, and appears as a bind-to-account heirloom after purchase. Also, the vendor should buy it back for the emblem.

    Cheers,

    Nope.

It's better to have people gear their characters via playing the game on said character. This should prevent people getting 5K GS and having no clue how to play. Also making them BoA would mean they can be sent to other characters too, so you'd have set of items that you can pass on to each time you make your alt 80.

Also this wouldn't solve tank problem either. People would still make more alts, and only small fraction would end up being tanks or heals, while majority would yet again be DPS.

Also vendor buying the items back would further increase the recycling of the items over and over. Is it really that hard to do few RDF's, then spam ToC, FoS, and PoS?

We already have stores to buy items from, on some realms at least.
