WotLK Return the Honor

Today I bought a ring (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=5...-rotting-sinew) for 40k the honor, but when I bought it, I found out that I already have it, and I can’t put a second such ring on a character. I tried to return the vendor with a refund of the honor, but the vendor didnt return the honor to me

Does it make sense then to play on a server with a non-working game service? I spent a lot of time, collected,
and Im punished in this way for one mistake
