1. Strength and agility ratio for Retribution paladin

Greetings. I would like to ask ret paladin veterans for advice.
I find differing opinions concerning agility stacking on ret paladin. Middle ground seems to be 500 – 700 agi.

    Right now I have 223 agi, 1172 (41.08 %) crit rating and 2191 str.
I am considering replacing my str cloak http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=45588 with agi http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=46970
My melee hit rating would decrease from 299 to 262, which would mean 7.99 % hit rate while 8 % is needed. Is this difference noticeable enough that I would have to install a hit rating gem? I am also a Draenei. Does the game counts the 1 % racial hit rate bonus automatically in my stats?

Another piece of gear to switch would be my str Ashen Band of Endless Might for agi Ashen Band of Endless Vengeance.

Next issue in the near future will be choosing a new weapon. Currently I have str Quel'Delar, Might of the Faithful. I am deciding between two weapons:
    agi http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50735
    str http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50730

Which gear should I choose and for what ratio of str/agi (crit) should I aim?
    Thank you for advice.

  2. It's not that you need to stack AGI. Items with AGI scale the same or better for you, providing more power.
As far as I know, you get hit whats on your sheet +1% drenai, so you need 7% on sheet. Which means the agility cloak is better for you for sure, not because it has AGI, but because it has more stats overall and your previous clak gave you wasted stat.

I would recommend oathbinder, for lots of reasons, as it scales a bit better, you can equip gearset that scales better while reaching all caps, using every stat point you get effectively. And bonus is, when you get SM, you can just equip it without rebuilding your set.

  3. The cloak change won't be big noticeable change in DPS. Though it is step in the right direction, if you want to play Agiladin.

Your Draenei's extra hit percent isn't shown on character panel. If the panel says 7%, you add 1% from racial to that. You can test this by removing hit gear and seeing how the panel states 0.00% hit.

If I recall correctly, for Agiladin it's double Agility rings (another one being Signet of Twilight).

For Weapon, you guessed it, http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50735.

  4. Wouldn't Bloodfall http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50727 be a better choice than Oathbinder?

  5. Wouldn't Bloodfall http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50727 be a better choice than Oathbinder?
No, Bloodfall is much, much worse than Oathbinder. The main reason is the large reduction in weapon damage, which is more important than any (other) stat.

  6. Thank you for all for advice. While I, as a knight of the Light, would rather wield Glorenzelg, due to name and aesthetic, the game mechanisms are more important and I will pick Oathbinder.
