WotLK Disc mage or hpally warlock

I am torn between playing either mage disc or hpally lock

My friend is gonne be the healer and is still kinda new to healing and especially wotlk thats why i though disc mage would be great as i as the mage would have a lot of control to help him out plus it has great potential
On the other side i am not that comfortable on mage compared to warlock (and i rly love wrath lock)

I would just like to hear some opinions from you guys as you have years of wotlk exp

You will probably hate me for it but this would also be for classic and not S8

hpala destrolock is much easier to do well with, so if you prefer lock to mage I see no reason not to go with it.
