Transmog weapon type- 2h mace to staff?

I am a druid using Lightborn Spire (2h mace). Should I be able to transmog it to take the appear of Terestian's Strangestaff?

If not, then why not? I see other people who have transmogged their weapon to look like a different type (as long as their class can equip both types)
