WotLK Death Grip pysical or magical?

Hello,

Im curious is death grip pysical spell or magical?
Im asking this because im confused.It gets reflected by warriors spell reflect ability wich only reflect magical abilities, and it gets ignored when target is in paladins Hand of Protection wich makes target immune to pysical abilities but not magical?

I'm way over my head here but from what I could glean, Death Grip is a spell of the physical school, which is why it won't work on targets with HoP but it can be reflected because it is a spell, not an ability.

Death Grip is a spell without any magical school. however, hand of protection should not protect again it. Hand of protection should only protect from the physical damage, not the effect.
