Here, if you look at this, you can see vanilla talents and spells in the wotlk client.
Hello Mercy, i don't think it's a good idea to provide the old Vanilla talent and the reason why is we are going to give a min max reason to the guilds and take again full Rogue, War, Mage and on an entire 40 man raid taking only one ret paladin, one feral, one SP etc.
I don't think a usual Wotlk players on a pro Wotlk server will have fun with the old gameplay of Paladin for example, there is absolutely 0 mecanics on every classes.
I don't think people want this :

this looks really cool to add in a new realm it could bring new players and veterans from classic as well, tho im kinda bummed out that dk isnt available tho it wouldnt hurt to try it either way ^^
Just porting the talents over won't result in that chart. There are plenty of other game changes that may or may not be ported over that are involved. Pet talent trees/ability/loyalty/happiness for pets, as well as changes in how swing timers and "clipping" them with abilities work over the expansions would drastically change Hunter's scaling alone. Changes to the debuff limits might allow other classes to use more of their toolkits and come ahead. Also whether the changes in Wrath with classes sharing the buffs they bring to the raid, whether those buffs are party or raid-wide...depending on what they keep from "vanilla" and mix with "Wrath" can completely change the equation.
I was here. Posting in legendary tread.
The idea is great, I don't really understand why some comments above are so obsessed with it to be "THE VANILLA". I would be more than happy even with an imitation of vanilla, even with wrath talent tree to be honest it still will be fun (if bosses will be upscaled the right way). Is equation change really a fundamentally big deal? If you weren't supposed to play vanilla on wotlk client in the first place, maybe you shouldn't? Let's just have fun.
Very happy to see talents staying true to Vanilla whilst not having to deal with the awful old client. If xp rates are x5 or lower this will no doubt be the most fun I'll have in WoW since Frostmourne S1.
