How terrible way to go from business's PoV. Who would launch a service for thousands players, and have 0 monetization for it. Well tbh, many would. They would just sell the data collected of the users onwards.

I like how everybody seems to think Icecrown only has players who buy gear.

Right, and the server is also not a charity. It requires money to function and none of the staff are that rich. This is also not a suggestion thread, in case anyone missed that.
