Battleground 1 opt-in does nothing

As the title says, pressing Battleground 1 opt-in doesn't do anything, any suggestions? I have this issue with the character I played a few weeks already, so I suspect this might be the issue, because when I create new char, opt-in does work.

Hello, i have kind of the same problem here, when i create a char, the npc doesnt show me the option to go for opt in.

It only shows me the 3 specs available, but doesnt have any option to switch to battleground one, so idk

same here...I am trying to create a new character but I dont want to opt into batlegroup 1
and there is no option...it automatically is putting me in group 1 when i want to play in group 2
