Rules:
S5 required to buy S6
S6 required to buy S7
S7 required to buy S8
S8 264 required to buy 277

Possibly we could expect a similar thing to be done with the pve gear, though instead of a raw piece requirement, you just attach a 'token' or sorts to the pve items per slot that a player would either use an npc dropdown for, or you just buy through a vendor with clever coding.

Mostly, I would prefer to see it stop at s6 or s7, because s8 is too overplayed, but that's just me personally.
Perhaps there could be a poll.

Make points flush more often, maybe every 2-3 days, that way it can cycle a little bit more quickly and not get stale, and give players something to do outside of their s8 characters.
A lot of players liked s5/s6, and most of the people I speak to and play with would like to see it back and preferred it, so I just think it's time to speak up and say something for my favorite server :D

i only play s8, i dont like other seaasons, but smourne and 284 can be removed but we cant bcs of molten realms
