Is there a definite answer on which is better single target dps for raid bosses? If so why?

Need someone to do the math, but I'm under the impression that optimising for single target -> more agility items for crit, optimising for multi-target -> more strength items for AP benefiting Consecration.

If you're talking about just the gloves apple to apple comparison, first of all the difference is really small. I'm wearing the heroic mail gloves and haven't gotten heroic plate ones yet so I can't test for you, but since you're looking for single target I'll stick with the mail gloves for more crits.
