Making characters from both fractions on one account

Hello
I know I can create characters from both fractions on one account, but- is this "legal"?
I have read on google that on PvP servers this isn't allowed, only on PvE- but our realm IS PvP.
I don't want to be banned or (when TBC/WotLK expansions come out) get my character deleted.

Yes, it's allowed.
Way back in the day, you couldn't create characters from both factions on the same server.
That was changed a long time ago; I *believe* it was sometime during Wrath, when they added the paid faction change service.

Anyway, barely any server has this restriction now. The devs could easily add this requirement if they really don't want people doing it, but I don't believe it's something many people would be in favor of.
