WotLK Weak Aura addon not working

Im new to using WeakAuras so this is my first time using it. i downloaded the addon and i was able to acccess everything on it. I made a nice setup for my rogue(buffs/cooldowns) and all was good. then suddenly i went to open my weakaura menu via /wa and nothing happens; no error, no menu, and no text in chatbox. i tried to uninstall the addon and try again, but it didnt work . i tried a different weak aura and its also not fixing my problem. the Addon is there, i can see the WA logo near my mini map but i cant figure out how to open the menu for it(/weakauras-/wa does not do anything). PLEASE help me if anyone has any knowledge on how to fix this :)
