i need advices about buying an account

a few days ago, a guy offered me his account for 40 dollars. They got five characters so geared and it's looks an interesting purchase for me. So, i'd like to get some advices from you and to avoid being a scam victim.

Selling accounts is worth of a permanent ban on Warmane. Let's say you buy an account, ignoring the rules. As soon as you need any support for it, we will find out you are not the account owner and will permaban the account. You will have wasted money.
Besides, in most cases, the seller tries to recover the ownership of the account and he will either have it back (on a first time) or lose it due to (compromised status). You will waste money as well.
