PvP - Horde or Alliance

Hello folks!

I'm just returning to the game after being gone for about 3 years and was wonder what things were like for PvP these days. Is the Alliance still the primary faction to play on if you love PvP more than PvE?

Alliance = PvP. Most people choose Human for the advantage of using two BiS trinkets.
Horde = PvE. In battlegrounds, Horde only wins if Merc Mode brings in Alliance players to their side.

Look at PvP ladder, you will understand xD
