Since the FAQ says the honor/mark reset is at TBC launch, me and my group are assuming that any honor points that we farm right now during vanilla - can be used to buy the lvl 60 pvp set during prepatch.

Is that correct, or are we grinding for nothing?

This should be correct yes, as far as I am understanding it.

Short question: will the changes to professions and talent trees take effect upon the release of Pre-Patch (on 2nd Nov) or will these changes take effect only when TBC is released (on 16 Nov)?

Prepatch has always been with the appropiate talents for the upcoming expansion. So yes, you will have TBC talents during prepatch. And before we merge into wotlk you will have wotlk talents during the wotlk prepatch.

Can I query why faction change is allowed. Isn't that going to mess up the servers balance even more (considering the different seals horde and alliance get in TBC)? I only ask this as my last server was killed due to faction change messing up the balance between factions.

Do I understand correctly that the honor and marks will no longer be reset?

it never said that honor and marks will reset pre patch it says it will reset in tbc content .. so since we got our honor and marks reset in this ppre patch does this mean all the honor we get from here on till tbc will aslo get reset again ?

Honor and Battleground marks got reset in Pre-patch and not in TBC as announced under TBC content on Mercy's post. Please give us our honor back we wasted several hundred hours farming.
