Leveled a rogue to 87 or 88. I'm not even going to bother myself to log in to know for sure because it's sad, man. It's sad.
Best way to sum it up: that line from Event Horizon, where the dude who first sailed into the black hole holds up his hand and bids us, "Hail, and fare well."
Last time I was there, there was a priest who just kept buffing the snake dude on the big terrace, over and over and over again. It was like, I never wanted to log out of a game as much as I did in that moment.
And then I remembered, that's probably what the guys who sailed into that black hole thought too. What did we do? Why do we deserve this fate?
Well, dude, you sailed into a black hole. That's what you did.
And I did the same thing when I rolled a toon on this server.
The two Panda bgs I remember were actually excellent. Entirely original, fresh takes on the whole concept from where I sit, so would love to see it here, but where do you stop?
Panda also had that amazing PvP island.
Tons of coding for all of that I am sure.
My recommendation: turn it into a side-game for Icecrown. It's a quest. You ask the players to go off and play this fully leveled toon on this other server and just do Archeology. You somehow swap out the prizes you get from Archeology from that server into Icecrown, or something like that.
And you compensate all of the existing players with full sets of Wrathful gear on whichever toon they choose on Icecrown.
It is true, you do get to fly around all over the place. Though I did not attempt Archeology with the one toon I have there, it would seem to be low-hanging fruit, so to speak.
They need to just absorb the other private server that is seeing moderate success with their MoP project. Warmanes MoP is very underdeveloped for how long it's been running.
