Current meta in DPS PVE (help choosing Lock vs DK vs Pala vs Mage)

Hello i am new to MOP, i have a lot of experience raiding in cata. I am having trouble deciding a dps class, i have read a lot of posts about this but most of them are from 2015 when SOO wasn't available for example: http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=297931

I have also looked at official servers in here http://worldoflogs.com/ranking/eu-us...orgrimmar/dps/ but with the bugs in this server, i cant really trust in this data.

My preferences are warlock (only demo, don't want play destro or afli), death knight (any spec), Paladin, Mage(any spec)

Can anyone tell me the best dps for raids single target ? and how much gear dependent they are?

U choose worst classes/specs!
Here’s the top dps:
Combat rogue > destro lock= furry warr= monk > Bm hunter = UH dk = boomkin = ret pala = fire mage > shadow priest =ele shaman
Some classes may have higher dps if player is skilled (like shadow priest but generally thats how i wrote)
For fire mage and ret pala u need end game gear!
Demo and affli are broken in this server

the is the classes with pet involved can never be viable in all bosses, for example in SOO norishin unholy dk pet will kill the adds and then take the buff from you. Which lead to your dps falling down a lot.

Don't limit yourself to just one spec!
Unholy will become pretty boring, realy fast, trust me (I have a dk as an alt).
Try frost spec as well and for some one who is focused on pve consider that blood spec is mandatory, else you will hardy get in to raids just as a melee dps ( because as it was stated in a comment above, there are many and better melee dps classes)
