1. [Guide] PvE Enhancement Shaman

    Good day everyone.

    I want to make litle guide about enchancemet shamans in pve.
    all information was taken from internet and from elitistjerks.

    Im sorry for my english, if u see any mistake plz pm me.

    Enhancement shaman is very powerfull damage dealer and very good buffer for raid group, if u dont have frost dk with IIT and blood dk with Abomination Might or frost dk and mm hunter with Trueshot Aura one enhancement shaman would be best choice to push physical dps in ur raid. Otherwise u can still use use Wrath of Air Totem and Flametongue Totem to buff caster dps.

    Build:
    Windfury is little bugged on molten, so we have to use 2 windfury on both weapons instead of windfury/flametongue. So thats a current build what im using atm. Ofc can i change Improved Windfury Totem to Fire Nova, but i havent static raid atm so if i have no frost dk with IIV ill loose dps.
    Here is Improved Build.

    Glyphs:
    Major:
    1.Windfury Weapon
    2.Stormstrike
    3.Feral Spirit/Lightining Bolt/Fire Nova
    Minor:
    1.Astral Recall
    2.Renewed Life
    3.Something what u like.

    I'm open fo any suggestion. I wont u explain all talens, if u want so go on elitist and read about it.

    Stats:

    Basically u have to simulate any of stats combinations, but that is must have for u:

    Stat weight system EP:
    !not hit or expertise capped!

    AP - 1
    Crit Rating - 1.7
    Hit Rating - 3.1
    Expertise Rating - 2.6
    Haste Rating - 1.3
    Armor Penetration Rating - 0.8
    Spellpower - 0.9
    MH dps - 5.9
    OH dps - 2.5
    Strength - 1.1
    Agility - 1.7
    Intellect - 1.7

    Hit(if no capped)>Expertise(if not capped)>Crit(if not capped)>Crit>Agi(till crit cap is reached)>Haste>Ap>Int>Arp>Strenght

    Hit Rating:
    With "Dual Weed Specialisation" is melee hit cap decreased to 21% and at Draenei to 20%.
    Its possible to reach this cap but not important.
    One must have is the spell hit cap 17%(16% by Draenei) which is lowered afre raid buff eg Shadow priest to 14%(13%) so u need to reach it with 368(341) hit rating.

    Haste:
    Haste will direct increase ur dps with white swings and the proc rate of ur windfury wepons.
    Take care about range of 1.51-1.41 weapon speed ur can be decreased(more on elitist).
    25,2~1% melee haste
    32,78~1% spell haste

    Crit:
    Crit rating is very important stat because many of talents proc on crit and our main dps is coming from white hits and windfury procs, which should crit too.
    But if u reach crit cap with trinket proc or with buffs its not more usefull
    Maximum Critical Chance (MCC) = 100% - (24% Glacing Blow chance) – (6,5% Chance to be Dodged, can be eliminated by expertise) - (Chance to be Parried can be eliminated if u attack from behind) – (21%-ur hit chance, Chance to Miss)
    To make it easier Crit cap is with spellhitcaped, max expertise = 64,2% or to eliminate crit depression of 4,8 =69%
    36,4~1% spell crit
    46,5~ melee crit
    If ur trinket proc like Comet's Trail comes over this stat so u should change it.

    Expertise:
    Expertise decrese the chance that boss dodge or parry ur attack. Basically for bosses it is on 6,5% or 25 expertise, with Unleashed Rage we get 9 points of expertise so u require only 140 expertise rating to reach the dodge cap.
    8.1975 expertise rating = 1 Expertise
    1 expertise = 0,25% decreasing of parry and dodge.
    Important for orcs is if u use axe or fist wepons u will get additional 5 expertise or 1,25% decrease.

    Intellect:

    With obtaining of "Mental Dexterity" is it possible to get 1 ap per 1 int, so it is better to use (on the same ilvl) mail gear and not leather one.

    Attack Power:

    Nuff said it obviously directly increase our dps.

    Enchants:

    Helm: [Arcanum of Torment](Knights of the Ebon Blade)
    Shoulders: [Greater Inscription of the Axe](Sons of Hodir)
    Chest: Enchant Chest - Powerful Stats
    Cloak: Enchant Cloak - Major Agility or Enchant Cloak - Greater Speed

    Tailoring Only: Swordguard Embroidery (25% proc rate, assuming 75 second cd (like the Darkglow Embroidery), average of ~58 AP)

    Bracers: Enchant Bracers - Greater Assault or Enchant Bracers - Expertise
    Gloves: Enchant Gloves - Crusher, Enchant Gloves - Precision or Enchant Gloves - Expertise

    Legs: [Icescale Leg Armor]

    Inscription Only: Master's Inscription of the Axe
    Leatherworking Only: Fur Lining - Attack Power

    Gemming:
    Meta - Relentless Earthsige Diamond
    Yellow - Smooth King's Amber (till crit cap is reached) Quick King's Ember
    Red - Precise (if no expertise cap)/Delicate (if no crit cap)/Bright Cardinal Ruby
    Blue - 1x Nightmare Tear to activate Meta

    U can use other gemms if bonus from gemming more than 7 Agi(Not proved).

    Weapon:
    Weapon speed has to be in range of 2,6-2,8. Best choice for enchant is 2x Berzerking(for more check elitist)

    How to play enhancement shaman:

    First and very important rule: play smart and check what happening im raid .
    Ask urself should i move from fire or die?
    Ask urself should i probably shwitch target?
    Or maybe use my 5 stacks of Maelstrom for heal?

    Please dear shamans, if u play think a little, dont stare in damage meter and try to push ur dps.

    Ok, now about playing.
    Keep ur Lightining Shield up, use e.g. Healbot to check ur buffs in fight so u will see if it down.
    Keep Windfury Weapons up.

    Totem power:

    Check ur raid setup:

    Air Totem:

    If u dont have frost dk with "Improved Icy Talons" use "Windfury Totem" else
    no other shamns are using "Wrath of Air Totem" use it else
    incoming nature damage use "Nature Resisteance Totem" else
    put "Windfury Totem" anyway, if dk die u have still the buff.

    Water Totem:

    "Mana Spring Totem" if no heal shammys,
    "Fire Resistance Totem" if incoming fire damage,
    "Healing Stream Totem" can sometimes safe ur life,
    "Cleansing Totem" very nice if boss/mobs are useing deseases or poison like add on Lady Deathwhisper

    Fire Totem:

    "Magma Totem" no other alternatives!

    Earth Totem:

    If no dk in group or forget to use "Horn of Winter" use "Strenght of Earth Totem" else,
    "Stoneskin Totem" in no pala using "Devotion Aura"
    or u use "Tremor Totem" on bosses like "Bloodqueen Lanatel"

    Ask in raid 4 buffs:

    Gbom/BS>Gbok>Gbos>Gbow
    Intellect
    Mark of the Wild(MotW)

    Use Flasks: "Flask of Endless Rage"

    Rotation:

    There is no rotation 4 enhancemen only priority list:
    Keep ur Lightining Shield up.
    SPirit Wolves>Shamanic rage(if 2 pieces of t10)>Stormstrike=0>Maelstrom x5 Lightining Bolt or ChainLightning(if more then 1 target near) or Chan Heal to safe the raid>Fire Nova(if u wanna do aoe Fire Nova after Shock)>Magma Totem>Lightining Shield>Flame Shock>earth Shock>Fire Nova

    Use Spirit Wolves on the beginn of the fight except u wanna survive in aoe like opposite Vortex at Valkyr Twins.
    Shamanistic Rage: If u have 30% mana or as safe ability to survive aoe on bosses like Twins.
    With 2 parts of T10 use SR on cd.

    Usefull Addons:

    ShockandAwe very usefull to watch ur cds and maelstrom weapon proc.

    My current gear with full raid buffs again Boss
    (Priority SW,SR,SS_0,MW5_LB,MT,LS,FS,ES,SS,FN)
    Dps 7661.78

    Changed all haste gems to crit gems:
    Dps 7767.09

    Increase of ~ 100 dps obviously so ill change stats priority.

    Trinkets:

    Ill canlculate with EP only Icc/Ruby Sanctum trinkets aviable atm in game:

    Deathbringer's Will proc for shaman is 600 Agi for 30 seconds and 1200 AP or 600 Haste = 790 or 664 (90 sec ICD, 30% uptime)
    Whispering Fanged Scull 1100 Ap for 15 sec = 607,7(45 sec ICD 35% uptime)
    Herkuml War Token = 538
    Sharpened Twighlight Scale 1304 AP for 15 sec = 521,6 ( 45 sec ICD 30% uptime)
    Death's Choice 450 Agi for 15 sec = 485,5 (45 sec ICD 30% uptime)

    All uptimes taken average teoretically based on uptime and ICD except of WFC.

  4. Imho no matter how broken lava lash may be, its another skill to fill the cooldowns, cuze to be honest there is always at least 1-2 seconds where u don't have anything else to press, the damage from lava lash should help a bit imho

    Also mention that improved stormstrike is still very useful for very very low geared shamans where shamanistic rage doesn't allow u to keep enough mana (usually happens where the shaman is kinnda forced to use some leather items, until better ones show up)

    Also there are dk's that use horn of winter in their rotation for the simple gain of runic power, so im not sure how much improvement u get from better strenght of earth totem, in theory its great, but in a raid context, they will be replaced by horn of winter, unless u specifically agree with the raid that it won't be used, but even then, u can't simply prevent it... but on the other hand there are hardly better talents to take (except the ones i mentioned above)

    Your priority list is a little wrong

    "taken from mmo"

    MW5_LB - Cast a Lightning Bolt when you have 5 Maelstrom weapon stacks - Chain Lightning does less dmg against a single target as it doesn't scale as well. For multiple target fights then naturally using Chain Lightning will be higher dps.

    LS_0 - Cast Lightning Shield if there are no orbs left on you.

    SW - Cast Feral Spirit if the ability is off CD. (Use your own judgement for timing with Bloodlust/Heroism)

    SR - Cast Shamanistic Rage if the ability is off CD. (with 2p T10 should be used immediately)

    SS_0 - Cast a Stormstrike if there are no charges left on the target.

    FE - Cast your Fire Elemental if it is off CD (This will also free up GCDs for other abilities making it very useful during Bloodlust/Heroism).

    MT_0 - Refresh your Magma Totem if it has expired.

    FS - Cast a Flame Shock if there is no Flame Shock debuff on target.

    ES - Cast an Earth shock whenever its off cooldown and the above are not available.

    SS - Cast a Stormstrike whenever its off cooldown and MW hasn't got 5 stacks - this does a fair amount of damage but more importantly refreshes the SS debuff on the target giving 28% extra nature damage (20% base + 8% glyph).

    LL - Cast a lava lash whenever its off cooldown and none of the above abilities are available.

    FN - Cast Fire Nova regardless of single target or AOE targets.

    MT - Refresh your Magma Totem if there are 2 secs or less left.

    LS - Refresh your Lightning Shield if low number of orbs remaining (2 or less).

    Totem refresh - if all else is on cooldown take the opportunity, if required, to refresh your totems.

    Actually I don't use fire elemental totem because he doesn't cast spells like on retail, so I normally use magma unless a lot of movement is involved

    Also take 2 out of improve windfury totem and place it in improve fire nova

    Agility is not equal to attack power. Ag is better because it means ap+crit+dodge... That's first of all.
    Then Haste is less important then AP or AG!??? Yes you go haste if you try to reach 1.51-1.41 weapon speed, but that's just insane! You loose all the ap/ag you could gain, which means more dps/swing or windfury proc, more crit chance, more dps from Feral Spirit plus Stormstrike hits for lower damage, Lava Lash the same. I say forget haste.

  7. Fire Elemental Totem is brocken, best choice is to use magma totem.
    Haste will valuable if u reach crit cap, full buffed in icc with 5% from warrior or feral, HoW or Strenght of Earth Totem, Gbok and proc from Elemental Devastation u will reach it very fast.

    Ill simulate it later to determinate how much each stat contribute to dps.

    ok everything is good but why you dont use the talants Lava Lash ?? i think that is one good spell also

  10. Lava Lash on molten doesnt proft from flametongue weapon and do lower damage as expected.
    Dualwield with windfury does more damage then using windfury/flametongue weapon, ofc u can use it as filler but i have no place 4 it in my rotation bec MW procs very often.

  11. Even if Lava Lash dont get increased bonus from Flametongue, its still valuable ability and u MUST spec it. Also you need Improved Stormstrike, no argue about that.
    And just to inform u, people dont use WF/WF cuz FT is bugged. They use becouse WF is bugged, even when it procs on off hand its damage counts as main hand. And it doesnt have ICD.
    Also since wolf damage is low, better glyphs are Glyph of fire nova, or Glyph of Lightning bolt.

  12. Improved Stormstrike, not really important ability, i have never expected mana problems, just use shamanic rage and u got enough mana. Its nice to have till u got 4 pieces of T10 because then ull use shamanic rage on cd and it's manaregeneration is very good.
    Ill try to check LL spec but i dont think it will very much contribute to dps, only lost of gcd and with very often procs from MW and lightining bolt ull make more damage.

    Ur spec is good if u have frost dk in ur raid grp, if not its lost of dps.
    I wont say my guide is perfec but i tryed to make most what i can 4 ppl who knows much about enhancement shaman.
    If u are enought expierenced u ill start thinking, i wrote play smart, i mean u should also think about ur spec and rotations.

    i would say haste>ap>agility with t10 4p chance on hit to have 20% more ap? so if u walk into a raid get buffed and have 7k u get another 800 from x2 berserker and a trinket with ap procs would u rather A) get as many swings in so u can get maelstrom to get 5 stacks to get a 20% ap proc or B) few hundred ap all the time and may not get ur t10 proc as much?

    1 agi gives 1 ap, crit chance, armor
    1 ap gives 1 ap
    How come ap is superior then? I mean you can get more of it but 1agi >1ap...
