I say "noob" because, upon playing the game for the first time since 2012, I had to wipe the drool off of the keyboard a few times from going "uhDUUUUUHHH, which way did he go George?"...really, it was pathetic. And the choice of character? A pally tank. Before, I was good. I was really good. Knew where to go, what quests to take, doing end-game dungeons...all that stuff. Now? Well, there's ring-rust, and then there's that 1950's Chevy truck sitting in the backyard leaning to one side with a tree growing through it. I think that truck would have a better chance to defend my fellow players than me at this point. Still...I press on. I mean, I did it before, right?
So, I joined the global channel (after spending half an hour trying to figure out how to do it), and my lord that place was crowded! Does anyone know if there's a slightly quieter channel to join, and what command I need to use to get it there (in Icecrown...unsure if that matters)? I tried to join the LookingForGroup channel, but I kept getting the "type '/help' for a list of commands" when I thought I was doing it right. Seriously, it's that bad. So any help would be welcome and appreciated.
And while I'm here, I may as well ask...as a pally tank (dwarf, if it matters), can anyone recommend any good mods I can/should be using? I remember I used to use several that were helpful, changed up the UI, others that helped in the end-game...oh, and maybe a graphics overhaul (like maybe an HD mod of some sort)? Again, anything would be helpful.
I know, most suffer from brain farts...mine is more like cosmic brain diarrhea. But thanks for reading, and even more for any advice you can offer!
the lookingforgroup channel should auto join while you're in a city, you can't join it outside of 1. outside of having a guild global is sadly your best bet.

Yup, all over it my man. That was the main reason I donated before...but time was much more precious then than it is now. Hence the whole "hanging out here" thing.
