problems with weakauras and custom ui

hello, i downloaded weak auras from github (following this guide:

and then tried to copy this to my wotlk client:

after that i can't even open wa menu, every time i log in to chara i get this error message:

first time i added raw addon from github, i could open main menu and add this lua code, then it started importing and error message popped up and importing was stuck
and now i even deleted all addon files and copied again new ones, and still this error occurs

Retail(and classic) weakauras won't work on the original client afaik.

You need the backported addon and the specific WAs written for it(like Naowh's ui project here.

so if this specific wa that i downloaded was showing in "addons" without any issues that means the problem is with this lua code only?

can someone help me, i tried every weakauras addon for 3.3.5 that there is out there and nothing works now after this lua code from wago. How to reset this weakauras? Where is this info stored that even after i delete weakauras folders from addons and add another one, they show in addons after log in, i still get those errors after loggin in and every time i try to type /wa.

Addon settings are stored in the WTF folder / account / accountname / savedvariables folder.

I personally haven't mingled with these files, so do it at your own risk, but I assume u delete the lua files of WA from there once u uninstalled it and then start with a fresh WA install and import the WAs that u desire, or make your own.

The WA I'm using rn is 4.0.0.

but i have some weakauras stuff in "saved variables folder" should i delete those?
