WotLK Bought the item on the wrong char from the store

Hi i bought an item but for the wrong character and put in a ticket asking for help and explaining the situation, I was wondering though, if i hit return on the item in the mail (haven't looted it yet out of mailbox), will this refund my coins or do I wait for support? Don't want to make the situation any worse! lol
