well i used 6 coins for 12k gold, gonna save the other 4 for when i want to sell something for coins.
Putting stuff on trade doesn't cost anything, the coins are deducted from your account only AFTER a successful sale.
If ur on icecrown - buy urself a universal 36 slot bag - Foror's Crate of Endless Resist Gear Storage. Totally worth it - cost 8 coins.

I bought a heirloom weapon for the sake of it and spent the remaining 4 on gold.
I was actually considering buying bags and was almost through with it but then I discovered the gold option. It's quite a noob trap if you ask me.
