Putting stuff on trade doesn't cost anything, the coins are deducted from your account only AFTER a successful sale.

you do not need to spend Coins to put something on sale on Trade.
You can have 0 Coins and still trying to sell something. The Fee is paid when you successufully sell something

I bought a heirloom weapon for the sake of it and spent the remaining 4 on gold.
I was actually considering buying bags and was almost through with it but then I discovered the gold option. It's quite a noob trap if you ask me.
