The first step at getting better is getting your own equipment. You should try to mooch a reactive ball off of someone you know that doesn't bowl with it anymore. Before you do, ask them why they don't use it anymore. If they say it's dead (which means it's lost a majority of it's hook potential due to excessive use and lack of frequent baking), you probably should try to find a different reactive ball.
