You can share your beliefs but don't force it upon others and attempt to make them share the beliefs as you. Not saying that you do of course :).
But that's why I don't understand why this is such an issue in our country. Let people live their lives. Let them be with who they want. If they're happy then leave them be. You don't have to talk to them, you don't have to look at them, you don't have to accept their lifestyle but you have to let them live their own life.
But I hope in the future more people become open minded and accepting. I'm happy to say that very few of my friends truly believe that gay couples shouldn't even be together.
