Hi,
I was wondering what the reason is that we're not allowed to know whether the person we reported breaks the rules or not (or if he/she gets banned). We only get the standard answer "we will investigate" and then you have no idea whether you did wrong, they did wrong or anything.
I'm also wondering what's the deal behind not being able to restore items. It's not a game restriction and there's clearly proof that you won it.
If you report them in the first place without even knowing if they ninjad or not you're better off not reporting and learning how to do so beforehand. You shouldn't report people without proper evidence (which is explained in detail in ninja looting rules section) in the first place so expecting GMs to tell you how to properly report and why/if the evidence you provided is ninja looting would waste so much time tickets would take even longer than they are now. Default answer "We will check your proof" is a time saver, nothing more.
Big deal about restoring items is because ninjas keep the item. They would inject extra items into the playerbase with no raids/drops to back it up. Also, restoring items and mailing them to every player that gets ninja looted would also be a massive time waste. Blizzard didn't restore items lost during ninja looting, so why should Warmane? They're removing the player from the game temporarily, that should be enough.
It sure is convenient to tell half-truths. No, Blizzard doesn't restore items lost during ninja looting, but do they even punish ninjas like Warmane does? No, they don't. The community does by spamming in /global.Quote:

Regarding that, ninjas obviously shouldn't keep the item, that's like allowing a rober keep the loot and just get to suffer the punishment. Imagine robbing a bank for a couple of mils, getting 5 years prison then when you get out you're rich. Doesn't make sense.
Well, you should've gotten the staff nonetheless. Personally, I haven't seen anyone lose an item because it had 3rd best stat over say 2nd best stat in a raid. I'd bet the dude would get banned for not giving you the staff if you made a report since that IS MS>OS.Quote:

I agree that ninjas shouldn't keep the item, but keep in mind Blizzard didn't remove items from ninjas and neither did they ban them. Warmane had to find a point where they would do enough to control the ninja situtation (which is different here than on Blizzard since cheaper name changes and free accounts) without being too strict and too controling. It's a game after all and they shouldn't be able to control everything people do in it. Putting in too much effort into individual cases would mean esentially mean overloading themselves with tickets and requests. Restoring/deleting items from ninjas, restoring items because somebody sold it, manually replying to people who can't use the bugtracker to check for bugs and you'd soon have an overload on GMs and tickets taking a week atleast to be read and replied to.
I think you being here all day, commenting on all posts, while daydreaming about becoming a Mod and blindly defending GM's actions is dulling your reasoning. If you wanna compare this server's procedures to the official ones when it suits you, atleast be ready for someone do to the exact same against you.Quote:

It was never my intention to get the staff's attention. In my deleted post, I explicitly talked to the community, while exposing (my version of) what happened, hoping someone would be nice enough to try to understand both both mine and the GM's perspective. But no, all I got was "nah, the GM's don't make mistakes", "your ban was not unfair, so shut up", "just make a ban appeal and stop whining", etc (yourself included).Quote:

You can add him to your friend list. If he shows up within 30 days he didn't get banned sadly. You could try opening a new ticket and hope for a different GM to open it and see what he thinks of it, if you provided correct evidence that is. Got some kind of response. You'll always be curious as to what "has been taken care of " means but hoping it is the 60 day that is in the policy.
