Agreed. I personally think TLPD is ugly as hell and the only reason I'd ever make the effort of hunting it is solely due to the mount achievements. I aslo think all the other Proto Drakes are better looking.

Having looked for TLPD for many, many months on retail, it was exciting to finally get the mount.

Now that I have it on all 3 of my level 70+ chars, I am completely bored. Too lazy to level another character to 70 to get another.

The best advice I can offer to those still unlucky with the hunt: pick a spot and stay there. Vyragosa spawns nearly every hour and TLPD spawns every 4 hours. Also, if you check the spawn spots I posted earlier you can find an uncamped spot to sit. If you constantly fly around you are at a disadvantage. You need to be at the spawn spot and ready to react if it pops up.

If the server crashes, and needs to be restarted does the server reboot with the PRoto spawned already? or does it start the 6-12 hour respawn timer again?

From what I noticed, it spawns right after server restart

How fast you talking? I was under the impression that it's around 6-12 hours or so, give or take.

I have posted this several times, but let me summarize:

Vyragosa = 1 hour
TLPD = 4 hours
Server crash = one of them guranteed to spawn

How do I know? I have helped others get the mount. I have camped Storm Peaks for 12-18 hours at a time documenting spawn locations and timers. I have witnessed a spawn after every crash/restart (18 times now).

Why do I not charge for this information or charge when I help people camp? Cause I am bored and I don't need gold. And, it makes me happy seeing somoene else fly off into the sunset with a smile on their face.

How can you help? If you see Willferal, Squishy or Id in global chat saying TLPD is up, first person to get to me gets the mount :)

Also, stop sending me guild invites! You can't disable them currently, but I am not interested in being in ANY guild!
