Hmm, when I started to play WoW on BC retail and I reached lvl 70 somehow(4 months) I thought that PVP is same as PVE so I was wondering why I dont do dps :| yeah noob alert here ... anyway i figurated it out after another 3 months haha so... I lost so much time but I had fun in pvp after 1 year when I mastered Dudu Feral(cat) good old days on TBC .... So :rolleyes::p:D
I do the same...my only binds are the letters Q, E, R, F,G which are the spells I use most often (depending on the rotation of the respective classs), rest of the spells -> CLICK FTW!
One day I played WoW on my friend's PC, and he had the whole screen binded...I was afraid to press anything so that I won't cast anything :| I still can't understand how people remember all their keybinds on 4-5 (even more) characters...
P.S. Ok, I said it, now I feel like a noob >.<
When i first started playing , i used to think that having 50 silver is like being really rich...Those were the days lol .:p
I refused to use certain hats because they were ugly. In Vanilla retail, I played my mage from level 40 eventually to The Burning Crusade, wearing always, and only, the CROCHET HAT.
Well, I could've displayed "Show Helm". I eventually ditched Crochet Hat because I found Mirren's Drinking Hat. Actually the Crochet Hat became so important to me due to all the memories revolving it, that I stored it in the bank. It's probably still there. I later got that cool helm from the Gorefiend quest... I probably quit retail during Wrath before I got anything to replace it.
I am Indiana Jones of mages.
I dont mean to be noob, but is it wrong that im looking for the pause button in wow? Blizz forgot that keybind obviously....
This is something I keep doing even today...
I /pet Druids in Cat (or Travel) form. Awww, who's a good kitty? :)
I have the same problem with capes. I hate those short and double ones - there were several cases when I found a cape with better stats than my current ones but sold it because it didn't look good.
My binds are: 1,2,3,4,5,TAB,Z,R,Q,E :D FTW
When i started playing Wow years ago i had "attack" on "1" keybind and always pressing it thinking that ill attack faster >.<. Also i tought that there's bigger currency than gold like diamonds or something else :D
Heh, I just remembered another silly thing. The first ever WoW character I played was an Orc Shaman. The second was an Undead Warlock.
Anyway, the silly thing was that I assumed that I could not cast ranged spells when an enemy was in melee range. Thus, I would blast my target with bolts as they charged me, and then continue fighting with whatever weapon I had in hand. Of course, the Warlock was not very good at fighting enemies with his weak default staff :)
By the way, my first time on WoW was on a private server. It was on the college dormitory's internal network, only accessible to students. And most of the quests, skills and talents were working fine.
I also forgot to mention how at lower levels I kept jumping when fighting mobs, thinking it'll make it harder for them to hit me.
But this was probably the case for almost everyone.
I used to do this too , and i still do it sometimes :p
As a ret i stacked int from plate items. Used ornate saronite set instead of savage saronite. And i would always wonder why my fellow pallies were oom and did not even knew what divine plea was. Until i switched to proper strength stacking ret pally. Darn u dota.
^ The funny thing about that is, with a 4k Holy gear and retri spec, I held my ground against a full relentless set Shadow Priest who tried to gank me. Eventually over 15 minutes of spamming abilities and constant healing, I finally took him down.
(I also had a one-hander and a shield)
