I found my dog in front of my building when she was still a puppy. All wet from the rain and filled with mites :(

Indeed. Not as large as the presumable male in that picture, since females are smaller, but still quite large. She could easily make most people fall down if she leaned towards them with her full weight.

They get big, and are known to kill coyotes, and fight bears.
