I've recently been on a hunt for new contemporary jazz and this Donny McCaslin reminds me a lot of a man by the name of Brian Patenaude that plays around where I live. Lots of space in his improvisation and a sweet, sweet tenor sound, but on this chart the focus is really on the drummer Mark Guiliana who I've been listening to to incorporate some of his technique into my everyday playing. What a beast.
