I'm satisfied with my 18k dps(350ilvl) in Assassination without any critical bug abusing.

Only IP and WP are PPM. If DP was PPM, Assa would never do more than 10k DPS.
http://www.wowwiki.com/Poisons
"However, your special attacks (Sinister Strikes, Mutilates, etc.) can also deliver your poisons, and they use this very same calculated proc chance. So equipping a slow weapon results in an increased chance of applying poison with your special attacks, which, of course, are not restricted by your weapon speed."
^this is very important though and makes one lean more towards IP/DP.
In conclusion, since specials proc IP w/ an increased % chance for slower weapons and DP is obviously better on a fast weapon, IP/DP is better, like Soulsseeker said - 37%/30% > 30%/20%. I hereby agree with Soulsseeker. Poison case closed.
The hit vs haste one is still open though.
mate no one asked you if you`re satisfied or not ... good 4u but you are offtopic, this is combat pve guide
P.S. i`m wonder if your guild master has the same satisfaction about you when you deal 18 k dps when other rogues are doing twice as much or more (rhetorical question)
Combat rogues are so OP lol I'm doing 18-19k dps with 340 ilvl scimitar of scirocco and without one trinket.
I love it thanks for the guide :D
^this.
If I were a Guild Master, I would not tolerate non-Combat Rogues into my guild. I would force them to respec or kick them. Call me whatever you want, I want max results and right now Combat is what gives max results.
Currently all Rogues in the guild, which I am a member of, are Combat. We always take 1-2 Rogues to our raids, because this ensures an overall good raidwide DPS.
It's a cruel world and you can totally take advantage in it. Why not?
Yeah using bugs and exploits instead of skill. That's how molten rolls.
I miss the old times when for using bugs/exploits/hacks you would have been banned from the guild. Have some shame maybe? People totally lack it. You can see people showing off like "Hey look at me, i have cool dps because of bug abusing!" or people randomly hacking in RDF like nobody can notice it. Srsly, is that matter of realm's rates? ******ness is also increased by em?
About the topic(so you don't consider by message as a spam): This guide should be deleted or rewritten to not advertise abusing.
No, this guide stands as a blemish for the devs, so they can one day pay attention to it and fix us! All of the Combat bugs are mentioned in the Guide, so what are they waiting for?
Do you really think we enjoy abusing Mastery? Have you EVER seen a serious guild-raiding Combat rogue brag about his damage? Well, NO and NO. I'm currently a member of a small raiding guild, which does full BWD and BoT 2-group 10man runs every week. Me and all other Rogues in the guild are Combat, because Combat is the best, not just because it's bugged. Neither of us enjoys this bug, neither of us enjoys quarreling and fighting what is best for Combat in this ****ed up bugged situation we're in and we all agree that Combat should be fixed, but what do you suggest we do until then? Play Assa? Or Sub? With Rupture ticking for 700? Why? Who would want us in raids then? An AWarr gives the same benefits as us and more and does 1.5 times more damage than a Sub or Assa. Or perhaps you suggest we just abandon our favorite classes just because the devs can't fix a couple of bugs for half a year now?!
No, this guide will stay here until Molten fixes Combat. The guide is Molten-oriented and as Molten players and part of the Molten community, we must provide players with the most adequate and relevant information and guidelines.
And by the way this guide was originally retail-wise... Look at the comments on the first several pages.
mmkay, now go and polish your shiny armor somewhere else.
I don't see any part of this guide that forces people to play combat and abuse. It's more like a demonstration of what rogues are currently capable of. There is nothing we can do for FOTM players who rolled rogues just to see high numbers. Like taralej said if people had any self respect they wouldn't brag how good they are because right now the class plays itself. But you cannot judge players who like to make the best of what they can and help out their raids as much as possible.
The thing that surprises me the mose, perhaps due to my lack of greater knowledge, is that MG proc bug is similar to the enhance shaman windfury bug. Namely, most p.servers have disabled wf because it can proc from itself and so on, and has possibility of 1-shotting any boss and perhaps crashing the server. I assume this proc is similar, and if so, why and how is it so hard to fix?
It's funny how you defend yourself now.

P.S. i`m wonder if your guild master has the same satisfaction about you when you deal 18 k dps when other rogues are doing twice as much or more (rhetorical question)Bug abusing will be always bug abusing, nothing will excuse you to do it. On the other hand, if any other class would have that nice bugs and rogues wouldn't, you would cry your butt out, not even mentioning pvp sake.If I were a Guild Master, I would not tolerate non-Combat Rogues into my guild. I would force them to respec or kick them. Call me whatever you want, I want max results and right now Combat is what gives max results.
I didn't see destro locks getting banned for using Conflag on 3.1 critting for 15k or Rets for using 10k Judgements on 3.2 on Molten...
dude no offence but maybe you should go and troll somewhere else , taralej don`t waste your breath on this guy, his only purpose here is to flame, he`s not worth it
atm rogues don`t have any raid buffs so their only raid utility is their dps, go ahead lordha try to apply in any big high end guild and tell them you only will play as assassination and your dps is 17 k ! you will only see how many will reject you from the start
don`t get me wrong i played as assassination rogue before, in fact i leveled to 85 as assassination but as for raids combat has higher dps, higher mobility and versatility and all that makes him A LOT MORE WANTED in raids than assassination
this guide is for several months always on the 1st page on rogue class and the bugs are on the 1st page of he guide, they could easily see them and repair it, we`re only adapted to molten and nothing else
You don't have to even start this discussion here sir, haste gearing and using retail style stat weights and rotation is perfectly fine, it's just that it does 5-10k less dps in a raid setting, because of all the negative bugs that affect said playstyle. Food for thought on your mindless zelotry.
Several GMs and Mods have seen and routinely monitor and moderate these guides - as you are about to notice, if they would have had something against it, it would have been removed months ago when it was first written.
@his1nightmare: We proposed this in the bug reporting sticky at the top of this forum, but I guess it got overlooked or you are wrong in your assumptions.
l0rdha7er has now been successfully added to your ignore list. You will now be returned to where you were.
Ok, sorry but this thread is getting out of hands. What do you think is the best trinket combination for a rogue who just starting to get into raiding. I am thinking of Tia's Grace and Darkmoon Card: Hurricane. As it is stated on wowhead "Unlike most trinkets with procs, this proc has no internal cooldown." with a ~5% chance to proc of any physical attack. Considering the amount of main gauche attacks it should proc quite a lot. What do you think my fellow brothers and sisters in shadows?
