I needed this clean-up

I avoid Facebook.

I did try it once.

Singed up, found out they make you use real name (a no no in my book, call me old school or paranoid if you want), then I quit.

Later I learned that Facebook auto singes you back into deactivated accounts (I thought it was deleted) and reactivates them if you happen across the site by any means on any PC it remembers. Anyway, I was doing a Google search one day and clicked on a link that happened to lead me onto guess what, Facebook. Suddenly I was back on an account I never consented to wanting back. They just assumed I wanted it because I happened to be back on there site.

I then read some articles about the issues and got mad that to actually delete your account you have to jump threw a lot of hoops and find options that they like to hide in strange places on the site. They do this so you can't find the quit option. I realize that although they must offer you the ability to quit, they don't respect it.

I eventually got so mad about it that I just clicked log out, then I proceeded to wipe my hard drive to insure they where not in my PC anymore. I felt like they where stalking me.

Now they have a dead active account with my real name on it that even I can't access as I don't remember or care to remember it's password. If I ever did get back on Facebook by some means, it would be to finally kill off the account.

I don't care how popular the site is, I don't trust Facebook.

What I think about this, is that it's used in totally different ways by a lot of people. I personally could keep in touch with a bunch of my friends, party organizing is easier than calling up 100 people 1 by 1, et cetera et cetera.

Also here where I live, I never came across any stalkers or things like that, looks like that's only cool in the states or bigger countries.

It's easy, simply don't add people who you don't know, if someone isn't your friend they can't do anything (if you set it that way, which is what I always do)
I don't understand ego-like-attention-whures who have like 2000 contacts -.-

Guess what? In time of the mighty quete (yes i am weird i love them) i decided to add further modifications for my phone for surfing throught the forum. Now i quote,edit/delete txt, log out and much much more. It works now like i am on pc. /mindblowned

There's no reason to be paranoid on Facebook. You add your friends and family and that's it. Or you can add random people but there isn't much to worry about. Some of my friends that are girls have 2k-5k friends lol. Also, if you want your page to be secured then it will be secured. No one will bother try to get around the security unless if you're extremely good looking and they want to creep on your pictures.




Keep in mind that you're not worth anyone's time because you're not important to anyone besides your friends and family. Sorry if that sounds harsh lol.
