US? Why US? Cause you believe it's as good as in they show you in all american movies? =)
    I don't watch movies much.

I just want out of England, the ability to travel and see different places all in the one country. mines is more of a restriction thing.

Not to mention my family come from Chicago, would be nice to go see where I hail from.

The US seems better than, oh, I don't know, Greece, Russia, the Nederlands, et cetera.

America is pretty much the same unless if you go to California, Texas, Florida and New York.

New York is fun to visit for a couple of days. I could never imagine myself living there though.

Hate cold weather, hate super rushed people, I prefer sun and humidity and the beaches.

I have some friends that have lived in the US, also heard from a lot of people that it's nothing special. I mean yeah, I heard NY is cool, but who can afford living in the middle of NY? So people move to other places. And they just complain about american people being weird, they don't know anything about any country except the US, you can't get sick cause it's too damn expensive, you have too much **** happening, like hurricanes, earthquakes etc, the economy atm sucks. Etc etc.

There are a LOT of other countries which are better than US, to live in.

Like we would even consider forgetting that :P

IT is true that New York is very expensive to live in but the jobs there pay you quite well (from what I know) compared to the other States. Well, they don't pay you well enough to live like a king in New York :|.

A lot of Americans can be full blown ******ed but then again, that all depends where you are and what you're doing. I'm sure I can find a large quantity of full blown ******s in any country around the world.

I've only been the hospital twice and that was because I need stitches in my right foot and I had a contusion in my right arm. Yes, it was expensive but that's why you have health insurance.

Again, depends where you live. IF you live in Florida or any where near Florida, expect heavy storms and possibly some hurricanes. If you live in Oklahoma, expect Tornadoes. If you live in Cali, expect earthquakes.

The economy isn't too great either but it is slowly getting better. Every country has their flaws. Some flaws may seem like a big deal while others may look at these flaws as nothing. You just have to visit other countries for yourself. I've heard people talk **** about London but I actually go there to visit some of my family now and I absolutely love it.

2 hours, that's like I'm driving to the other side of the country...
Since I live in the middle of the Netherlands. Consider that I live 1 hour driving away from everyone here from the netherlands.

I live in Maine... Of course you guys probably know by now.

    Also.... I did some math.
    Spoiler: Show

Marine Engineers make an average of $46 per hour.

They are paid for every second they are on the ship they're maintaining....
And trips last for anywhere between 2 weeks to 3 months.
Assuming I work for half of the year (shift)... Here's what I expect to be making :)

    46 x 24 x 7 x 4 x 6 = > $185,000
    (Wage)(hours)(days)(weeks)(months)

Of course, that's a rough assumption.
