We're aware she was going to spam it in global again it was stated in the opening post. But keep in mind as I've said we did go around scheduling our times so that its not as if we were going to be online 2 or more hours earlier so don't go thinking as if we didn't follow instructions correctly.
All I can say is you know full well you got lucky with your timing, unless somehow you read what she stated on the opening post and magically auto corrected it to be there at the exact time. So please don't go telling us that the community whines about everything when many of us did our best to comply properly and be respectful of the event, I don't feel there is any disrespect whatsoever when many of us did our best to attend. Would also like to point out the GM was there to help with the event had it been done at the designated time so that would have minimized the experience you noted but again GM was just following what was written so damage couldn't be mitigated.
Enough DenebRove , seriously , you need to go to sleep , she made a mistake , now don't go blaming it on her over and over again , it happens , it could have even happened to you too ... You are quite tired , you woke up at 3:30 but you can as well go to sleep now , as it's not too late to catch another 2-3 hours of sleep.
I am having a hard time understanding how people can be mad. Ashlyne decided to do a huge give-away and due to a tiny mistake a small group of people couldnt attend to this giveaway. He is busy in real life and therefor confused, give him a break!

I know but ppl was calling her every single thing on the global! was just insane!
As 4 the time she sayd at 5pm server time that it would take place in 1hr, 20pm so i assumed 20pm was her time! your currect!
Everyone here are a bunch of hypocrites and *****s. Ashlyne is already giving you free stuff that cost real money and yet you scold her for a slight mix up? Shame on you people.

Well anyways, at least u dont have to see those flames anymore if you quit. Good luck in your real life!

Lets not get to a holier than thou attitude here because its hardly a slight mix up given that it was a double whammy.
Realm time =/= Local time
20:00 or 8:00 PM =/= 18:00 or 6:00 PM
I'm totally holding back but please don't try to downplay the mistake as being slight or simple because it is rather complex, in that even if you did get one of the mistakes down to right you'd still end up missing out. We know its free stuff and I'm not angry at the gesture or the event starter I'm more frustrated at the execution, not the person but the way it was handled.
Glad to see the horde had fun with the event, surprised the PVP flag doesn't seem to be working guess that is a new bug to report in tracker XD.

If you see this as complex or a big problem, you will have a hard time in your further life.

Complex doesn't mean big. However complex does mean the composition of two or more parts being interconnected which is apt in describing a double whammy, which is how a lot of journals online would describe the said phenomena which generally occurs in marketing (Jstor has a bunch of good articles if you have access assuming you'd like to delve deeper into the meaning).
Cba reading all the walls of text here, so the following thought might have been expressed by somebody else already. If that's the case I want to apologize.
Personally, I think you are making it yourself way too easy there. DaMatrix said something like 'death sometimes has a scary way to wake up people', and I agree with that. If you think you need to sort out your life, then definitely do so - I won't stand in your way. What you should consider though is that you're making it yourself way too easy by completely quitting your "addiction" I suppose. A more mature person knows how to keep things in bounds instead of going radically left or right. Eventually, there is the risk that you might fall for your "addiction" in the future, so keeping stuff in moderation is a really mature way to dealing with your life.
Just my imput/thoughts, thanks for taking the time to read all this mess of thoughts.
